Domaine Michelot Alain

History: This domaine was created at the end of the last century. Four generations contributed and still contribute to the development and the reputation of the domaine. They aim for quality and authenticity.

The top value of the domaine

The elevage is one on lies with only one racking. The wines are complex and age very well. Many references in the Magazines and many wines have been "Tastevinés".

A few woods

A cold cellar, Alain and his daughter give time to the wines so that they enrich naturally on lies and in the barrels.

The wines

The wines have a lot of power with a very light wood input (25 to 30 % new oak). A strong personality for the Nuits-Saint-Georges where the subsoil is very complex, some parcels are planted on marbles or on sands.
Each wine receive 1/3 of oak from Troncay, 1/3 from Allier, and 1/3 from the Vosges.
