History: The domaine of the Hospices de Nuits is part of the hospital of the village, it is only working with its own budget. The domaine has been constituted by the vineyards donated by the people who got cured in the hospital. Nowadays, these donations are still cultivated and valorized.

The top value of the domaine

8,8 hectares produce wines with appellation Nuits-St-Georges and Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru, within the climat "Les Didiers" which is a Monopole of the Hospices.

The wines

All the wines from the Hospices are raised in new oak barrel; we respect this tradition by keeping the wines for the end of the elevage in their barrel of origin.
Consequently, the elevage for these wines are long, between 16 to 18 months.
